Picked up General Instrument 550i analog receiver

Hi Guys!
Just picked up a General Instrument 550i receiver. I want to hook it up to my Fortec Ultra and SG2100 as a slave. Any tips on hooking it up? I have n ot done this before. Also, is there anybody that has a manual for a General Instrument 550i receiver? My receiver did not have one with it. Thanks for any help and have a nice weekend!

You'll have fun with it .

I just slaved a C-band reciever on my Coolsat and aside from some polarity issues it was pretty straight forward. Thanks to a tip from another forum member, I'm going to add a DC block on the 'loop out' and I'm hoping that'll take care of my spuratic polarity issue.

With Ku it'll be easier because you'll easily have a H or V polarity channel to set the polarity for the slaved reciever.

I ended up using the dish pointing screen with a manually entered H and V polarity transponder for my C-band stuff.

It's fun .
