I am getting my DirecTV hooked up on Wednesday and I was wondering - is it possible to get my Samsung HD box (TS360) updated before the installer came out?
I'm not sure if it even boots up far enough to do the update right now (apparently, this box boots up with a Boot Fail message if no satellite is connected) so I don't know if will load the update.
I don't have a phone line at home so I was thinking of taking it into my office to get it updated. Can the receiver handle dialling 9 to make an external call? If not, I'll swing by a friends house to have them plug it in. Either way, I can't plug it into a dish, which I think might cause a problem.
