Phone Line Long Distance

I will soon have in my hands a wireless phone jack. I for one have never used a wireless jack before on a satellite receiver. I am wondering if the numbers that the receiver uses to communicate to directv are toll free numbers and not long distance as my phone services can only handle local calls.
