Phantom 522 Recordings

Having an odd problem with the 522. It seems that ever since the NBR
was implemented I am getting these phantom recordings when ever one of
my timers is recording. I am not sure if this is NBR timer specific or
applies to all timers.

Basically if I look at the recorded programs list while something is
recording I will see the currently recording show at the top and then
immediatly below it I have several other items that say they are
currently recording but they dont have a name and the time reads 0:00.
They usually go away once the recording of my program (the valid one)
is done, but once I found two of the phantoms at the bottom of my
recorded list.

At first I was only getting one or two at a time but now several weeks
after first noticing this I am getting six or seven every time
something records.

This is not really a bad problem because they usually go away but I am
just annoyed.

I do frequently reset the box (every few days).

Any one else getting this problem or maybe know of a solution?

Not that I can help, but I am getting the same thing, especially after the L233 update.

Can anyone help us out as to how to get rid of these things.

Same here. Mine always shows tuner 1 as the phantom. I've never seen the "program" on the DVR list after it's done recording, however. It showed up with the L232 upgrade.

I'd searched here for info before, but wasn't sure what to call the "phantom show". Glad to see others finally with the issue. (Well, not glad for you, but you know what I mean!).

update

Now many weeks after the problem first started occurring it is much worse. Every time a program records there are a couple pages of recording "phantoms".

Whats worse is now there are at least 10 phantom shows at the very bottom of my recorded shows list that do not go away. I am not even able to delete them.

never heard of this..have you called tech support to have them send the info into their engineering dept?
