AMIKO Pausing live TV on the Amiko miniHDre

Is it possible to pause live TV on the miniHDre? If I hit Pause, the picture freezes but the audio continues, and it seems that if I hit pause again it jumps to the current picture (not 100% certain of that last part).
Am I missing something? I tried this with a small USB thumb drive that is FAT-formatted and has about 1 GB free (understanding that beyond this test, I would need a larger drive and preferably with its own power supply)

I remember trying this and it working. I don't currently have an RE around to test this with. Admittedly, I only tried it a couple of times when I first did testing on this unit before deciding to carry it. When I did test it, it was with an external HDD with its own power supply, I do know that.
