Parental controls

I have set parental controls up and it doesn't seem to matter if I'm watching The Godfather, the NFL, or Barney and Friends. I have to enter the password no matter what. What's the deal there?

You may get replies if you provide which STB you have and what method you used to block said channels (lock channel, hour limits, or ratings).
