Paramount +

George & Mandy has joined Tracker, Elsbeth, Ghosts and Fire Country as CBS shows in 4K on Paramount +.

I assume more to come, since the Fall Season Premieres are going on for the next two weeks.

NCIS Sydney and Matlock are also in 4K.
Forgot about those two since I have not watched yet.

I am just amazed that those who pay over $120 a month for their monthly TV Package, do not get the shows in the best quality, while those that pay a lot less do.

Please remember how much many of us appreciate the Hopper series and features.

My 55" living room TV is still a 1080p "dumb" TV, so TV shows in 4K make no difference to me. The channels in my $28-a-month Philo package look great on it :)

Since you brought it up.

What makes the Hopper worth paying, roughly $150 a month for, instead of (since you listed the channels you watch a few weeks ago) just paying $30 a month with Philo and a Roku, which would have those same channels plus a unlimited DVR.

Not only that, if it's a series, the DVR adds the entire season to your library from VOD. It's the best DVR concept I've ever seen.

Now, if they'd only fix the annoying stretch-O-vision issue with the Military History Channel..

I am very tired of having to power cycle my TV (via the power cord) when the Paramount+ app on my TV locks up.

Looking at the positive side of this -- I get some exercise walking to the back of my TV.

I watched the first Matlock, while the show is not for me, that was one of the best presentation of a TV show in 4K/HDR, video quality was extremely well done.

My bedroom TV is an LG 4K set and it always tells me when a program is HDR (an icon appears in the upper right of the screen). I have never seen my TV register anything on Paramount+ as HDR. The content may be 4K, but my TV doesn't detect any HDR.

Pops up on mine, but as Bobby said, if you do not have the commercial free version, not available-

A quick Internet search shows a number of people complaining that the WebOS version of Paramount+ does not have HDR support, or it doesn't work correctly. I won't speculate whose fault it is.
