I just purchased a used Fortec Lifetime Ultra for our upstairs bedroom but haven't yet received it. Given how little it cost, I'm thinking about getting a second one to place with the main setup downstairs so I can have separate receivers for my bud and motorized Ku dish. My other DVB receiver is a Pansat 2500 and I find it responds to IR remote inputs from my TRX-2000 analog receiver (my big dish mover) but this is only when I hold the east or west buttons down for a while so it isn't a big issue.
My question is whether or not the Pansat 2500 and/or the Fortec Lifetime Ultra will respond to the remote of the other unit? I know I could get a UHF kit for one of them but in that case I might as well be buying a newer, faster receiver for the incremental cost.
