In North America, not only does 25 percent of all traffic goes through the search giant, but three fifths of all Internet-connected devices in North America touch base with Google every single day, says new research.

That would be correct for all my devices. I've become a big google user in the last 2 1/2 yrs. gmail, docs, android phones and tablets.

Security concerns are the main reasons I gave up my Gmail account and switched to "Startpage.com" for my home page. The nice thing about startpage.com is you get all the benefits of Google search without the tracking!

I also removed Chrome from all my Windows computers since I never knew when they were going to update and there was NO way that I found to keep them from doing that unannounced. I'm on a bandwidth restricted connection (USB Data Card) so I have to keep track of what's downloading what and when.
