I have been having this issue for almost 2 weeks. I have an 811 and there is one over the air HD channel that causes my 811 to freeze and then reboot. It is always the same channel. Any ideas or suggestions?
There's some quirk in the PSIP from the station that causes the 811 to go blank and reboot.
I had this problem with my local religious station, so I just deleted it from the list of local stations, and no more problems.
All stations do not take the same care in setting up their PSIP information.
Yes, it's very likely bad PSIP from the station. The 811 is extremely sensitive to this. I have heard that some people have had success by talking to Level (3?) tech support at Dish, who will attempt to communicate with the local offending station and help resolve their PSIP errors.

I had to block out one of the PBS HD OTA locals (channel 28 -- LA area) because it had included additional program information in its signal that would cause my Voom receiver to freeze and then reboot. I have since found out that the Voom receiver could not handle the additional information since they had no software updates over the past 1 1/2 years. So far this is the only channel that has caused this problem.
Perhaps the 811 has the same issue and needs a progamming update to receive the additional information in the signal...
