Check out the Echostar TR-50 - it will be out in December and it might be what you are looking for.

I know it's in beta testing now. I thought they were releasing it in November. It's nearly November now so I'm guessing December would be the earliest.
If it performs the same as the 622/722s, I could get one for all my OTA recordings and send back one or two of my three 622s. If the TR-50 lists for around $300, the breakeven point wouldn't be that long when you consider the DVR and lease fees on the 622.
I'm curious to see how much the specs have changed from the original Jan 2008 introduction seeing how HDD have come along. The TR-40s have been good overall (for use in my RV anyway).
Hopefully there will be no subscription required for firmware updates. That would negate any savings. I wouldn't put it by Echostar for trying to make a buck there.
