Has anyone else seen this problem.

When switching to am OTC channel (WAVY ch 10-01 thru 10-03) the clock on my 811 receiver gets set back in time a few months.
The banner at the top of the screen will show 3/04 as the current date and
the hours are off as well.

When I attempt to go to the guide from this OTA channel, it come up with the
Attention 015 screen, acquiring Sat. then it must redownload the program guide again (evening if I just was in the guide to get to the local OTA chan.

It looks as if the OTA is setting the clock on the receiver back 5+ months.
When the receiver checks the clock (going to the guide) it thinks the
receiver hasn't been connected for months and redownloads.

I can avoid this to a degree by manually punching in a Sat. chan. with the
keypad. (going from 01001, the current OTA chan to 105 USA network) when I do this it resets the clock to the correct time after a few seconds and I
can go back to the guide with no downloads.

When I first brought this up with the CSR last week, he said that ANY time
you go from OTA to Sat it must do this. WRONG ANSWER. I'm not waiting 2
minutes to change chan's.

a follow up call to an other CSR lead to more troubleshooting and that is
where we isolated it to WAVY OTA causing it, but they though it might be the
receiver not reading the OTA time correctly.
Today the new receiver showed up with the same problem....

I guess it's time to call WAVY and tall them that their OTA signal is
killing my Sat receiver.

Does anyone else see this kind of problem in the Norfolk area?

Does the 921 have the same problem?

Bill in Hampton.
