I was playing with a dsr today and came across this.

Which makes me wonder how many people have gotten free PPV's from comcast?

They charge 50.00 to watch 1 thing ?.......wow.
The fights were always high. Movies were about 3.99 if I remember right. Back in the day, I remember PPV asking $40-50 for viewing a match (don't remember who). I happened to come across the same match on a free feed. It was over in about 1 minute with a KO. Sure glad I hadn't paid to watch.

I think they still are I was playing with a 410 Thursday and come across some ppv channels on w5 and they came up with the title and price and they were $3.99 also however they have 4 or 5 ppv channels for porn at 8.99 - 9.99.

I'm already a computer geek. I hope to be like you satellite geeks that "stumble" on free feeds all the time.

I said that was 'back in the day'. Free feeds or backhauls used to be fairly common but a few couldn't keep their mouths shut about finding them and the providers scrambled them.

We have a hidden section here at Satellite Guys called Whats up there. You have to be a member a while and need a member to ask the moderator to let you in I believe. There we post the good stuff :)

When i finish my baby steps I'll consider jumping with the big guys, right now I'm trying to understand the basics.. like how to choose the best FTA receiver for the buck, and what mpeg2, 3 or 4 is. Then I'll be fussing around with that. I still have so much to learn, but its good to know there are sneaky little places to hang out and get some tidbits :)
