Does anyone have any experience or comments on the geosat 90 cm (ku) dish?

How about the folowing?:
winegard 1 m
Fortec 90 cm
winegard 76cm

Thanks to all!:hatsoff:

Moved out of the DVB PC area to the MAIN FTA area!

The 1m Winegard (All American made) is the best of the above bunch!

Well the bigger the better, if you asked about 3 dishes of the same size it would be easy to pont you to the better one, though the 1 meter dish is very good 1.2 meter would be even better.

I use the Winegard 76cm, with a cheapass Fortec LNB, and I get great signal as far east as 72w. (My TS is E9 at 121, btw). I haven't tried any further east yet. The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in my neighbor's back yard will probably kill LOS after that.

I was limited to 76cm because of esthetic concerns. If you can get the 1m Winegard, you should do it. If it's made as well as the 76cm, you'll have a well made dish, and undoubtadly great reception regardless of LNB, judging from my experience with the "tiny" 76cm.

I have both, 1m Winegard and the 90 cm Geosatpro and both are good dishes but if you plan on putting it on a Motor, I would opt for the 90cm. I had two Stab motors that could not move the Winegard reliably with a Invacom QPH, it seemed that the weight was a little too much for it to work at all times. I just thought it was my first motor (Stab 120) but I sent it out for repair and it came back with no issues found. So I purchased a Stab 100 and it too had the same problem, it would not always move the dish when it was in a far west(or east) position accross the arc. Now with the "lightweight" 90cm, I have no problems. This is in my experience, some others may say otherwise but....

The 1m Winegard definitely receives a signal better though, by a 1-3 db.

Ive got the 1m w/invacom qph-031 its defn a heavy dish, I wish they made a little bigger though, like the 1.2m as I live in the gwn (great white north) I could use that little extra hehe.

twinhan 1020 was pathetic, I felt so sorry for my motor it was looking like it was working so hard, so slow, so pained, hehe.

dreambox 7000 was a little better, didnt look like it was suffering, just slow.

coolsat 5000 was much better, I felt it wasnt straining at all

fortec mercury II, wow I had no idea that dish could move so fast and so acurate, crazy !!!
