Openbox recover from PAL

Just booted up the S9 and it seems it was shipped with the PAL mode activated. I googled and found this:

Press
Menu
Press Dn arrow 2x
Press OK
Press Dn arrow 1x
Press OK
Press Right arrow and pause (up to 8x)
Press Exit 3x

Tried this for the last hour and can't seem to get out of the PAL mode.
Hooked up to a Mitsubishi DLP using RGB.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a tv that can use the AV composite output? You will see a nag screen that has wording that you are in the wrong mode, and if it is in PAL the picture will roll, but you should see enough to bail out to the "tv system' menu and try other settings.

After you recover stay away from the V.Format button on the remote, use the menus instead.
