One World Sports Jumps Off Dish

One World Sports said it will no longer be available on Dish Network and Sling, effective at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

One World said it elected not to extend a five-year agreement it had with Dish because Dish wanted certain most-favored-nation provisions in its contract. One World said those terms would have limited its options in a changing TV landscape.

It also said it might have agreed to a short-term extension, but Dish declined.

Noooo!, I was going to subscribe to Dish for that particular channel. Oh well.

Apparently it was on a niche international package or something and SD wanted wider distro and HD AND dish said no one wanted the channel and that's why they dropped it.

Odds are its gone for good.

Well you would get a big credit, because in order for an English package to receive this channel it would cost you $19.99 a month.
The minimum pack is Willow Cricket with World pack.

I once had One World Sports on Slings Sports via my Roku, for a minute. I wanted it because they were supposed to have Bundesliga on it. They didn't, and Bundesliga is now carried by Fox.
