I have the same problem. I have 1 Rca Receiver from 1995,and 3 samsungs. I have 2 3LNB dishes and one more Slimline. The 3 LNB's are still in use. For Standard Definition Customers.Too bad they didn't lease those as well - I have a bunch of old RCAs in the garage - worthless.
I also have 2 Hughes HD receivers which cost a total of over 900. Worthless.
And a 2lnb and 3 lnb dishes. Also worthless.
Leasing is so much better.
They should be disposed of in the same way as TVs and other electronics. There's likely lead content in the old receivers. There are now approved recycling centers in most states.
