Official: New HD Channel(s) this Wednesday?

In answer to the question of whether Dish will finally introduce at least one truly new HD channel this Wednesday: Dish will! Decisively, Dish will. I mean, there is every reason to think Dish will. Weighing this with that, one thing with another, the bad with the good, considering all the alternatives and variables. Dish probably will. Dish very certainly, in all likelihood, possibly, in the fullness of time, all things being equal, if nothing happens contrary to prediction... Dish will. Absolutely.

Or possibly not.

To play along, I predict there will be no new National HD this week. I have no inside information, only that nothing has changed since last week. So why should anyone expect a different result?

In fact, If they wanted to announce something, today would have been perfect. They could have announced New HD to deflect attention from some of the bad news in the earnings report. Which, by the way, they blamed on the lack of new HD.

So they had the perfect opportunity to deflect this by adding " but to remedy this we are introducing tomorrow ...."

But they did not. They said nothing. So I expect nothing until April or May.

I don't understand it. Charlie says this and that about the competition is one reason for no hd. Damn Charlie. Shows some balls and add a few hd channels to show the hd world that you are a worthy opponent. You have room!!!

Thanks for your kindly expressions of deep concern for my mental well being. But I have already purchased some razor blades (in bulk) and have checked the best medical web sites for the appropriate application location(s). Do you think I could still get my money back? I mean just in case Dish really does add a new HD channel this Wednesday. OTOH I'd hate to waste them. Maybe I could offer them to others on this site who seem to be unable to live without their favorite new HD channel

Only thing I noticed during my Tuesday "digging" was TP 7 on 61.5 is will no longer lock signal. I could have sworn it was up and there and empty a week or two ago.

Oh Digi, master of the uplink report, please be careful with your comments.

Hundreds, possibly thousands of Satellite Guys' future well being hangs on your very words. Many are just sobering up enough to read/comprehend the significance of tomorrow's Uplink Report(s). A careless word could send them back to the demon bottle to assuage their immense sorrow at the lack of new national HD for yet another week.

OTOH you may have just created a market for those razor blades I purchased (in bulk)
