I'm looking into buying a Fortec 90cm dish and realized that it's actually 85cm x 94 cm. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to having an oblong dish? Would the gain be the same gain as a 90cm round dish?

Thank you.

Most dish seem to be slightly oval, I am sure if it were a big deal they would make them all exactly round.....

now if it was really oblong (like a 40x30), that is used for multiple LNB's (bigger focal point)

Mine is slightly oval as well, and as Iceberg mentioned...great for multiple lnb's. I can testify to that!

Iceberg, so I can rig my old Primestar disk with a Universal KU and a Cband LNBF and a HH100. Is that posible?

I got Fortec 90 cm dish about a 3 weeks ago. It works great. It is as you said 85cm x 94 cm but longer side oriented vertically like an egg. Shouldn’t the longer axes be oriented horizontally for multiple LNBs?
