I would like to know what you guys think about the captive works 600 premium and the nuesat 6000 premium? If you have one of these bands or models please let me know your experience. I am looking to get into the free to air hobby and I would like a easy to use and inexpensive receiver. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you very soon.

Well, a guy down the street wanted to trade his captiveworks for my viewsat. We tried it for a week. If it is possible that there is a worse box than viewsat -captive works comes close. Everything scans in as unnamed which is darn bothersome. The usuals is touch and go. The transponder list resets it self if you do a factory reset and the default is missing 50% of the transponders.

The thing it has that Viewsat does not is auto positioning. you can lock in one sat then go to the next sat to the west and set it to a strong transponder then just auto position to the west and it will lock in the position to save as go to x.

No blind scan. No way to scan for active transponders. Hack box.

Viewsat + motor = nightmare

Hey now, you are ttalking about my main box....for a few more days. I am pleased as punch that I have a mercury II on the way. Funny thing is..I got it for much cheaper than I got the viewsat for. Now all I have to do is sell the VS. The guy who wanted to trade for it is offering 130 which is 35 more than I paid for the Merc. I am feeling better and better about my new purchase.
