I noticed on Lyngsat that this bird has some good freebies on TP12, but it is spot-beamed toward Africa. Any of you US guys verified that transponder 12 is really a no-go? I can easily see that elevation and azimuth from my location, but will await the word from the proz before I try.

It is West Africa Only. 11.45 to 11.70 GHz band is one the DBS service frequency bands for Europe and Africa and aren't permitted to be transmitted in our region by the ITU. Sorry.

The only frequencies transmitted to the Americas from NSS7 are between 11.7 to 12.2 GHz (the KU-FSS band for ITU region 2)

Most of the channels on TP12 are available from other locations receivable in the US.
