Wife came home, long time iPhone user, the icon was laying on the counter.
She picked it up, flipped it over, then pushed the power button and played around with it for a few minutes.
First words she said was, " that's a damn cool phone."

After using ios and android since, I had forgotten how smooth WP software is. Always was even on lesser hardware. Now that the hardware is equal in this generation there is no comparison on that aspect.
App store has vastly improved, still missing a couple I did use, but I figured I usually used them at home and I did have then in my dell tablet.
More than pleased at this point. I'll try to do a review soon.

Oh the battery life on this thing is surprisingly good. Coming from the note three with a much larger batter (and of course screen) I wasn't expecting to get a day of use.
I normally got a good day from the note where most people got a day and a half or two.
Sometimes I'd have to charge a little around 5 to make the day before bed.
Since I've had this I'm usually around 15% when I turn in.
From a much smaller batter but otherwise same hardware (smaller screen) I am pleased with that optimization of battery life.
Unexpected plus.
