Well, I will add this to what I know about Young Broadcasting.
They own KRON in the SF Bay Area. KRON was an NBC affiliate. YB beat out NBC to pay an exorbitant fee for KRON4. NBC wasn't happy and tried to force KRON4 to operate as an Owned and Operated station. YB didn't like the terms, so they canceled their contract. NBC switched to another local station to make it the NBC affiliate (KNTV) in the SF Bay Area.
It was during that time that Dish dropped KRON off their line-up while they were an NBC affiliate. YB wanted bigger fees from Dish too. Once NBC made the change in stations, when the new year came, NBC was once again on DISH. YB didn't have much of a barginning chip anymore and eventually caved for less money.
