...since at least Tuesday evening when we tuned in to watch episode 6 of "Smith". Great picture but no sound no matter how high we up the volume. Everything is working perfectly on all our other channels, and was working well on The 101 until just earlier this week. Our setup has not changed for 3-4 years when we got our new big-screen Toshiba, so we are convinced the problem isn't on our end. Emailed & phoned DT but got no help at all. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's not on your end if you get all the other channels correctly with sound as well.

Does it ONLY happen on this particular show, or is it anything on the 101 ?
Could be a programming problem as well.

No Sound At All on The 101...

...Thanks for taking the time to reply, Jimbo. :) Yes, everything else works as it should on all other channels, so you're right that it must be DirecTV's problem. But of course, DT wouldn't entertain (!) that possibility. We're curious whether lots of others have also had this problem, and if so, why DT hasn't fixed it after nearly a week...

On the other hand, if no one else is complaining, and everyone is looking at the same satellite, how can it not be on the OP's end? The 101 is working fine here. Did you do a reset?
