Hello everyone,

I have an nfusion Phoenix that I purchased from Gosatellite a few years ago for a backup box. A lightening storm came through the other night and damaged my Mercury II receiver that I have been using for about three or four years.

I finally got the Phoenix working and I found all of the channels that I want on the various satellites with 3 kU and 1 C-Band dish. By comparison the Phoenix finds more channels faster than the Mercury II ever did. In fact it found channels that the Mercury II never did find with a blind scan.

I would like to delete those channels that are nothing or that I will never watch. I would also like to rename a couple of channels. Following the instructions in the owner’s manual and with the on screen help. Both of these refer to a "Clear" button to delete channels. It also states that this "Clear" button is used to rename a channel or whatever.

My question is where is the "Clear Button"? There are no buttons on the remote control, the front of the box or on the screen that is labeled as "Clear" that I can find. The manual also refers to an "Info" button and it is also no where to be found.

As it looks right now, the Clear and Info buttons that I cannot find are the only things in the way of enjoying this receiver and FTA viewing..

you might want to try the colored buttons that are red, green, blue, or yellow....im not too familliar with that receiver and i doubt many people here are....that receiver was really produced for hacking, not for true FTA....im really surprised it blind scans as well as you say it does....

I pushed every button including the colors to see if "Clear" is there but unmarked. I bought the box from Gosatellite a year or two ago for a spare. At the time they was one of this forums sponsors. I do not see their name at the top of the forum page anymore. The people with Gosatelite claimed the nfusion Phoenix to be one of the best. So I bought it on their recommendation and that was a mistake. Maybe it is and I just do not know how to operate it.

I have been trying to figure this thing out off and on for about one year now. I was also surprised at the results of the blind scan. They call it a "Network Scan".

You say that this receiver is used for hacking. Now that I see some of its capabilities I can now understand that. Hacking is not my intent. It is just not the right thing to do.

With all of the additional channels and sub-channels that came along with off-air digital TV. Add them to the FTA and there is more to see than I have time to watch.

I went to the Gosatellite forum and put up the question. Then when I went back to it my firewall blocked that forum because of the sexual content. I went on into it any way and it looks like many questions do not get answered.

Network scan isn't blind scan, I believe it only scans transponders listed in the receiver, or entered by you. Probably not the best backup box for a blindscan receiver. Maybe good for a spare room slaved off a real receiver.
