NFL denies church Super Bowl viewing

I doubt they will call me back but I just called good ol roger and the NFL commisioners office to see what he has to say about this, welcome to the NEW WORLD ORDER my friends.

I hope they don't find out our local bowling alley is having a Super Bowl party also, which includes 4 big screens (over 55" a piece) and they are charging for this party.

Jason, do you know how many places are having the "big game" parties as we are now forced to call it. this is complete garbage, Please dont enjoy our product that we put out on FREE tv, and you support by buying tickets, or sweatshirts, or heck just watching the game that out advertisers pay money so people will watch the game and the NFL is telling people not to watch the game.....maybe Some advertisers should demand money back.

Just spoke to someone from the comissioners office, Greg Aiello , and he stated they are not targeting churches, but targeting group settings that are charging a fee to get in, or if you are viewing on 55" tvs in large mass it is against their Copyright laws. if Jason or Scott could call me so they could listen to this message that would be great so someone can type it up as I am a slow typer. by the way as far as I know I am the only one so far to call the commisioners office on this, and they sounded FRAZZLED!

After Listening to gregs message again it boils down to this, they are wanting the ratings, and the Nielsien I dont know what to say anymore, I understand they want to be the highest rated tv show, but at what cost? and who will pick this story up? CBS-nope they have a football contract, Fox-Nope both them and Fox sports have a NFL contract, NBC-NOPE contract, I know ABC-oh wait ESPN is currently in Bed with the NFL, thats what we get for creating this big of a monster I guess, we have to play by their rules

That's it. I'm not watching the game now. Doesn't the NFL have more important things to do this week? Besides, where is the downside of this for the NFL? I thought the idea was to get more people to watch their product.

How many of those people are likely to be nielson families? I have installed and serviced THOUSANDS of satellite customers, and never encountered one.

This is nothing new. The Colts wanted to do a closed circuit broadcast to the fans in the RCA Dome but were told "No." The NFL blocks these types of gatherings every year.

Maybe you could post the e-mail of the commisioners office so more people can let them know how they feel about this?

I cant seem to get ahold of my contact today, he is either at the super bowl, at home not answering phones, or his phone is on silent and he forgot to turn it back up (happens alot) I will keep trying, all I have is Rogers (the commish) office number, and now Greg aiello's number which I def dont want to give out.

You better tell him that I'm going to friend's house for his Super Bowl (TM) party. :D

Also, our bowling alley is having a Super Bowl (TM) party as well and will be CHARGING for it and displaying the game on 4 100" screens. :D

LOL, I love the trademarks, its so sad when I listen to talk show hosts that say the big game instead of the super bowl, thanks nfl!

The NFL has this attitude all of the time. Not just for the "Big Game". They made statements about Slingbox when it was first talked about. They were worried that someone in Europe could actually watch a Sunday NFL game live, and not on the rebroadcasted NFL licensed European broadcasts. Some of the security measures in the Slingbox were specifically to attempt to placate the NFL and avoid a lawsuit, I believe.

Adamek Vs. Dawson / Diaz Vs. Chavez

Colts are Super Bowl Champions!!!
