Some of these athletes are treated like gods from a young age, and they develop into narcissists that think the world revolves around them and conforms to their needs. I doubt he'll be in jail for decades, but this rises to such a level of negligence that several years should be served (seeing we don't have a justice system that manages justice in any positive way).

Yeah, there were so many warning signs and life lessons already too. Every touchdown he holds up a 3 I guess for a childhood friend who died in a car accident. Just a week prior an uncle was hurt or killed or something in a bad car accident. I guess he could face 46 years, and may also have a gun charge involved as well (gun recovered from his car).

Some more on the victim, glad to see some pieces adding to her story instead of just being a victim. Family has been through a lot in their lives, refugees of the Yugoslavian war, she was 3 and immigration placed them in Vegas in 2001, homeowners since 2004, and on the verge of earning their US citizenship.

Right or wrong, the way I feel about this current Chiefs team is the same way I used to feel about the Patriots with Brady. Yes they have flaws just like the Patriots did, but if they can get in the playoffs even with a 9-8 record I don’t care if they’re playing on the moon, I expect them to win. Now the Super Bowl is another story. I would reevaluate the Chiefs chances against the NFC Champ. That’s what generational QB’s like Brady and Mahomes do to my thought process. It can actually be borderline irrational if the rest of their team is mediocre at best.

That's fair, I guess you were in surefire dynasty-and-winning-super-bowls mode, while Chiefs fans are still just a few years removed (IN OUR HEADS) from 4-12.

I mean, if I had to guess I would have thought it was like 5 years ago, not 9, I had to look it up.

I actually went and re-cropped this photo to make it longer... I think the biggest hangover to get over as a Chiefs fan is I didn't see them even win a playoff game as a fan for the first time until 2015.

The biggest concern for me with this Chiefs team is it makes me wonder if that Super Bowl win was the peak of the Mahomes era, and the rest of it will be more like Rivers' tenure in San Diego... lots of potential, could end up beating anyone any given Sunday and then ultimately nothing.

The Chiefs have vulnerabilities. They were able to get around them by scoring 21 points in 5 minutes in some games. Right now, they aren't doing that on offense, which makes their vulnerabilities (especially on defense) stick out more.

OVerall, Kansas City has actually been good for a long while. Their issue was the inability to win, like ever, in the playoffs.

Honestly, as great as Mahomes is, I wouldn’t have thought this way if he didn’t win that SB 2 years ago. He was already on his way to being all time great, but winning that SB gave him mega credibility in my mind. The antithesis of this to me was always John Elway or Jim Kelly. Both all time great QB’s but they never seemed to be able to get over the hump (Elway finally did at the end of his career, but you could argue that had more to do with Terrell Davis). That’s where the irrational part comes into my brain. Mahomes was already great and then he won the big one in only his second year as a starter. I will now forever feel that the Chiefs have a shot as long as Mahomes is upright. The rest of their roster (and it isn’t a bunch of stiffs anyway) be damned.

Meanwhile, Aaron "Immunologist" Rodgers isn't happy with the treatment he has been getting due to his status as not being vaccinated. Apparently the "woke media" is doing all sorts of stuff, like crank calls, leaving flaming bags of dog doo on his front porch, as well as having the audacity to report that he wasn't vaccinated and got Covid-19, which could cost his team the playoff bye.

The "critical thinking" American Studies major while in college... yes, apparently that is a thing... fears that there is just "a lot we don't know about them (vaccines)". To help relieve the anxiety he is suffering, someone should let him know that American Studies majors aren't the firewall on medical treatment in the United States.

The Chiefs rank near the bottom in defense, especially against the run, so as long as the running backs stay healthy expect GB to run up yardage on the ground in this one. I would expect over 200 yards, maybe 250. That kind of ground attack gives Mahomes less time on the field to work whatever magic he has left (also less time to turn over the ball). However, unless and until Love shows he can complete a couple of 20+ yard passes I would expect an 8 man box at the line of scrimmage to slow down that running attack. It'll be interesting to watch and see who's strategy works.
