NFL 2015-16 Season

Did I actually hear one of the geniuses on the ESPN pregame say the Eagles have one of the best offensive lines in the league?! If what I saw in the first half is one of the "better" OL's, then we're gonna see a lot of QB's go down this year!

I really like the new scoreboard ESPN is using for MNF. It's as far down to the bottom of the screen as they could get it with no ticker and it disappears when the ball is snapped.

I would love to see this used for college games too but I suspect they won't due to the extra work involved. Someone has to manually hide the scoreboard every play and then quickly bring it back. They probably don't want to deal with this for the smaller crews used for the low tier college games. They should at least use it for the primetime Saturday night games on ABC though.

Edit: The picture quality looks very good tonight too.

Agree 100%.
I was coming here to post what you did.

I'm amazed Jones is still allowed in the league.

How is he not suspended indefinitely is beyond me. There was nothing football about what he did to Amari Cooper. I can live with a late hit... But removing a helmet and try to pound his head on his helmet.. And in front of the blind ass zebra is totally and completely unacceptable.

Did the NFL really come out and say they were not gonna do SOMETHING about Jones ?

They shouldn't be fined. They shouldn't be suspended. They should be arrested...... especially when you consider past behavior. They both got got caught (on camera) assaulting people that had nothing to do with competition

I watched the Ravens-Broncos game where that official(line judge) got injured. Later,I heard that he had a broken collarbone,"cracked ribs,& a punctured lung," & the first thing that came to mind was,"I'm a professional cowboy & I use catheters...." If they interview that line judgeman later & he says,"I know pain,& I don't want anymore of it," I'm going to lose it.
Seriously though, this is the first that I heard about Suh & Pacman not getting fined or suspended,Goodell has been seriously weakened by Deflategate,it's way past time to replace him. I guess this article is relevant then:

Is the NFL turning into an American FIFA?

Is it amazing. The league screamed "integrity of the game" all summer. And now Goodell and Vincent turn a blind eye to this. They want to say they're sensitive to head injuries and they let that go without any severe discipline is mind boggling to me, but with those 2 I'm not surprised.

After watching it again, I overreacted to the Suh play (but that's only because of past behavior). Jones, OTOH, needs to be arrested. If any of us did that in our workplace we certainly would (and should) be arrested.

The commissioner has been neutered and therefore afraid to take any action, hence the reason they are now talking to the NFLPA about how to handle disciplinary issues.

Owners, NFLPA can't agree if they're discussing disciplinary changes or not

Exactly HOW. Do you Appeal that ?
How can he say he didn't do it ....

Fines do nothing to the athlete, that's probably in the bottom of his pocket.
If not there, then he'll have to skip a strip joint this week.
You appeal it by showing it violates the CBA in some fashion. If he hasn't done anything in the last 2 years then he's a first time offender again like Suh was and why Suh won his appeal.

Don't think he wins a fine reduction, pretty excessive and I'm sure some vagueness in the dinner schedule for special circumstances applies.
