NFL 2013 Season

If you had to switch teams in the AFC,switch the Baltimore Ravens with the Buffalo Bills. That would make a natural rivalry between the Bills,Browns,& Steelers since they are so close to each other distance wise(using Erie,PA as the epicenter).

Since when does "Close" make for a good rivalry ?
I think it makes more sense to have rivalries that are of teams that play one another well.

Moving the Ravens out of the AFC North would be a very BAD move.

The STEELERS and RAVENS are one of the VERY BEST RIVALRIES going currently.

Forgetting reality(remember,Roger also wants to expand to London,UK,how realistic is THAT?),imagine if the NFL & CFL merged & the NFL absorbed the present 8 CFL teams(minus the soon to be Ottawa expansion team). I saw possible realignment as this:

AFC East: 1. Baltimore Ravens 2. Jacksonville Jaguars 3. Miami Dolphins 4. New England Patriots 5. NY Jets

AFC North: 1. Buffalo Bills 2. Cleveland Browns 3. Hamilton Tiger-Cats 4. Pittsburgh Steelers 5. Toronto Argonauts

AFC South: 1. Cincinnati Bengals 2. Houston Texans 3. Indiannapolis Colts 4. Kansas City Chiefs 5. Tennessee Titans

AFC West: 1. BC Lions 2. Denver Broncos 3. Edmonton Eskimos 4. Oakland Raiders 5. San Diego Chargers

NFC East: 1. Dallas Cowboys 2. Montreal Alouettes 3. NY Giants 4. Philadelphia Eagles 5. Washington Redskins

NFC North: 1. Chicago Bears 2. Detroit Lions 3. Green Bay Packers 4. Minnesota Vikings 5. Winnipeg Blue Bombers

NFC South: 1. Atlanta Falcons 2. Carolina Panthers 3. New Orleans Saints 4. St. Louis Rams 5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

NFC West: 1. Arizona Cardinals 2. Calgary Stampeders 3. San Francisco 49ers 4. Saskatchewan Roughriders 5. Seattle Seahawks

Again, IF your trying to make this geography oriented, the Cowboys CANNOT remain in the EAST or you can throw the whole thing out and start over.

Why change it anyways.

Have you seen the hit ?
Was it low ?
Was it intentional at the knees or was it more at the waist /thigh area ?

I haven't seen the hit, but the NFL isn't going to fine him that much for no reason. Also, you have to admit, there's a history with this player.

I guess that the Texans-Chargers game turned into a good game, but I was burned out by then & went to bed. I am MORE than curious though how the Eagles AND Michael Vick will do the rest of the season. I just cannot imagine the Eagles keeping up the pace that they had last night without burning out or Vick getting injured. If they can play as hard on game 16(assuming that it's a meaningful game) as they did last night & still confuse their opponents, then the sky's the limit.

Kelly said that the pace of the game on the Eagles Offense was very SLOW ... needs to pick up the pace considerably.

Ps, go pull up a few of the Oregon games.

Oh, I agree, however, how much of the fine was his history that keeps growing with each step.
While I agree that if the play was intentional fine, if not, how can you fine him that much ...
Personally, I think the league has it in for him and will fine as much as they can whenever they can, and if the play was legal, the NFL will still try to find fault with it.

Face it, he's not a choir boy, but then there are others like him that do as bad or worse and are not getting the notoriety.

Yeah but with Vick's fragile history,I want to see how the Eagles are doing at the half-way point & then at the end of the season. Also,NFL teams hit consistantly harder than the teams that the Oregon Ducks faced. You have bigger & faster players in the NFL. If the Eagles had a big mobile QB like Colin Kaepernick,Cam Newton,or Tyrelle Pryor, this would be an awesome, stable offense. Could Foles or Matt Barkley keep up the pace if Vick goes down to injury? Michael Vick is the big question mark as to the success or failure of the Eagles' new offense.

Foles definitely can.Barkley isn't quite ready for prime time.Foles has already been running this offense, and despite one boneheaded int in the preseason, looked great doing it.

Vick is definitely the king pin, he has the ability to run it smoothly, however, what happens if/when Vick does get injured, you know it will happen, it does every year.
I KNOW Foles can't run this offense, mainly because he doesn't run, therefore eliminating a threat, the D* would KNOW that the run is happening with the RB vs the threat to pull it out of the belly and keep it ....

At one time Dennis Dixon was on the team, I think he would be a good back up for them seeing he's ran Kelly's offense previously.

If Foles has to come in in the season for Vick for any extended playing time, look out ... he's done.
He's not mobile ands doesn't run, the D* would know the keys and Foles and the Eagles would struggle mightily.

The Pre season is just that, the pre season, things are much different inside the season.

It is a very scary proposition to have to ride Vick' s shoulders for 16 games plus the post season, maybe.

If he has one more blatant illegal hit on someone he needs to be suspended for at least 3 games.

lol He started 6 games last year, and to those that think he can't run,he rushed for 2 tds.Chip Kelly wouldn't have kept Foles if he didn't have confidence in him. There were trade offers made for Foles, they were declined. He was also in the competition for the starting job until the 3rd preseason game.I'm not worried if Vick goes down.Foles while certainly not as fast as Vick, can elude pressure, and is a much better pocket passer,he also makes better reads than Vick.

Suh has appealed the fine, claiming it's excessive....

I think it was excessive too. It was a stupid play blocking someone behind the ball. He also shouldn't have went that low but he's not a blocker by trade. This isn't what he practices every day and he did it wrong. He has so much money and has built up a bad reputation for himself so I won't feel sorry for him.

$100,000 for a low block just seems silly though.

I've been hearing on TV and the radio that ex-players think he should have been suspended this time. Players are sick of his repeated hits to others that can end a person's career.

I think he's a great player but I've seen what he keeps doing and I think he's very dirty. He looks like he's trying to end a player's career constantly.

Like I said, I don't feel bad for him. He put himself in this situation. Here's the problem though. If you are going to go after him for all these fines and even suspend him you have to start fining way more players. This wasn't even a personal foul. He was called for an illegal block. If they are going to fine him $100,000 for an illegal block or even suspend him every single personal foul needs a huge fine period.

Where is Clay Matthews' fine and suspension? He basically said he was going to target Kaepernick for big hits before the game started and then had a late hit on him out of bounds. This was basically a premeditated personal foul so I would say that is a worse offense than the one Suh committed and he hasn't received a fine or suspension yet. The league said they were going to review the play but nothing has come of it.

The NFL is watching everything Suh does much closer now and after stomping on a player he probably deserves that. I have a bit of a problem with them issuing extra punishment to him for plays they would let other players slide on though. He can afford the money so I don't care if he has to pay it. I don't want to see him suspended for a block that was too low though. He was at least trying to make a football play this time, not stomping on someone.
