NFL 2009-10 Season

Did Ben Roethlesburger sit his first year in the league? I thought he was thrown in pretty quick, and if IIRC won like 7 games in a row?

edit: I just looked it up, he was scheduled to sit the first year, but Charlie Batch got hurt in preseason, moving him up to 2nd string. In the game 2, Tommy Maddox got hurt moving him up to the starter. Ben finished the year going 13-0 and 14-1 including playoffs. Not bad for a rookie imho.

Big Ben, like you said, didn't start right away , but did play most of the rookie year due to injuries :)
And YES he did very well, he was like 16-2 in his first 18 games. (off the top of my head).

Remember thou, he had a very good team around him, SB champs eventually.

Quote of the Century. This had me rolling....

“Cleveland hiring Mangini is such a kick in the nuts for that city. It’s like walking up to a quadriplegic and cutting his testicles off. You think it can’t get any worse, but someone finds a way. It’s almost inspiring when you think about it. Think about all the people walking around Cleveland though to themselves, “There’s no way it can get any worse. It’s just not possible.” Eric Mangini. He makes the impossible possible.”
:eek::eek: :D:D:D:D:D

The author of this column seems to be spot on with Mangini too. Sandra, you should get a kick out of this one...

Stupid Sports Blog: Eric Mangini is just a flat-out tremendous coach

Another article that I beat to the punch by a month and a half. I really think I need to do a sports blog myself. All of my GirlGenius is wasted on you knuckleheads!

I'm going to call it...'My view from Section DD'

Or something like that. :D

4 man rush.

It's like our O-line was making a kickoff return wedge.

That Ravens team looks really good now that the offense has come alive this year.

Willie Parker is OUT for the Steeler's tonight.

Just when he was running the ball real well last week... UGH

A chance for Mendenhaul to get out of Tomlin's doghouse ?

McFadden....3 carries...NEGATIVE 5 yards. JaMarcus has played well, unfortunately, the Raiders recievers have easily dropped 5 perfectly dropped balls...and ONCE AGAIN, ANOTHER bull**** call takes away a big reception when every single video angle shows he DID catch and drag the foot.

...wow!

In their defense, they're probably not used to having balls thrown right at them.

Louis Murphy was robbed that time.

Some really bad calls both ways in the Chiefs game too. This hitting defenseless receivers stuff is a lot of BS if it can't be reviewed or something. Deflate a defense after a bad call and a team just goes deep for the score.

NCAA proposes tough taunting, concussion rules

Is it possible to watch MLB.TV on a TV?
