I just registered and am brand new to this site... so this might not be the right place to ask this, but:
My company is looking to get rid of an old Hughes dish.
It says "Hughes Network Systems" "Personal Earth Station" "P/N 1011836-0002" "S/N 41862H"

Any idea what this might be worth? I'm thinking of selling it on ebay. Do you think anyone still would have a use for this type of dish?

Thanks, Ty

That looks to be a VSAT setup - probably for satellite Internet connectivity or processing credit card transactions.

It was an expensive rig new but now the hobbiests are the ones who'd be interested in it. These are usually disposed of so we're either dumpster diving for them or asking for them before they get tossed / destroyed.

They aren't completely worthless but very often the present owners are happy to have it removed without costing them anything.

It most definitely has uses, both for satellite and amature radio operations.
