This is what i have wineguard ds-2076 dish, visionplus visionDTV sat pci card 1020a, digipower sg-2100 hh motor, dmsi spitfire standard ku lnbf. I mounted on pole plumb on side of house noting blocking it set up to latitude for hollywood fla zip(33021) where i live (26.02n)latitude. I pointed true south not magnetic then i moved to nearest satellite (AMC-5) and peaked with meter. then checked by moving motor from east to west an got in an out readings from meter as I moved it telling me i was on belt i guess. Then I went in side turned on software that came with sat card an i get no quality an up to 80% strength. I also tried other software progdvb,an my theater. Can someone give me some help pretty please be happy to see any picture. Maybe the card is junk it had good reviews but I think that was from distributor. No quality an when i click goto st says cant reach from here.

what is your true south bird... you will not see a picture with out being on an active transponder. (lyngsat may say its active but it really might not be) Let me know what your true south bird is so i can give you freqs to plug in to see if your on the bird.. also try doing a sat scan.. to see if you can pick anything up..

I would use AMC-5 as you true south satellite.

Sorry I will try to use more punctuation. Katrina gone an power is back on after 3 days. Still need a little help please. I set my true south for hh motor magnetic variation 5.5w. Then I set elevation of motor at 64 an dish at elevation 26 Then tried to move dish to amc 5 by motor with go to sat an says cant reach sat from location. So i got dish pointed at amc-5 used sat finder tone with meter. I now recieve signal with sat finder an moved from east to west an picking up sats as i move the dish with motor . But I still get 80% red in strength an no quality pls help me anyone. Is this visionplus pci sat card junk or could it be the lnbf from dmsi spitfire.
Similar situation here. 36" fortec dish, Microroyal H2H motor, VP1020P card, DVB-TV software has a motor control section that asks for Longitude, latitude, degree and elevation. I'm not sure what to enter for lat and long. I know mine is N44 lat, 79 long W. When I try to use the USALS function go to sat location everything located to the west of me (Ontario, CAN) returns error message cannot see satellite from your location. If I attempt a sat from Europe which I know I cannot see the dish moves no error.

Give us your zip code. You MUST have the lat. and long. entered correctly in order to track the arc. You will need pointing angles as well. Zip is first step.
