Well I got the itch'n to get a 6' c band dish - Fortec solid. I am interested in 99w I think. I have to keep this dish somewhat "hidden". I might have a decent spot for it - but I am wondering how I would go about finding if I have a clear shot? If I understand it correctly, there is no offset to this dish. So, how do I find out if I have a do-able spot? THANKS in advance!

I would recommend a sat calculator (I like SatelliteAV's calc with PDF printout)...
... a compass ...
... and ...

A new member recently came up with a variation on the soda straw device, using a camera tripod.
Should be easy to find on a search.

. . . and of course you might want some camouflage paint(s) to match your yard decorations . . . ;)
The bad news is: those white Fortec dishes stand out with their bright color.
The good news is: those white Fortec dishes can be easily sprayed to match vegetation or rocks, depending on your location.
