New York Network changing info soon

On 9/29 NYN is changing parameters. I do watch some of the stuff on NYN2 so I'll be sure to retune

* Center Frequency-- 12182 MHz
* Symbol Rate-23 MSb
* FEC--3/4

Parameters after Sept. 29. 2008:

* Satellite- AMC 5
* Polarity—Horizontal
* Center Frequency—12177MHz
* Symbol Rate-20.5 MSb
* FEC--3/4

Thanks for the update-I woulda freaked out,hehe. They've been favorites of mine for a long time now. In fact I'm thinking of turning this dish on White Springs over there and parking it.

Anybody found this new arrangement yet? I'm getting KTEL, Sinclair and NYN1,2,3,9 (on 12182/23 with test cards) on AMC-5. Coolsat 6000 blind scan does not find anything else. Manual scan on 12177/20.5 does not see anything either. Weak signal?

Horse racing Juan! and on NYN2 there's a variety, sometimes I see Deutsche Welle, other times its something else.

The NYN transponder has not changed, the scheduled date for the changes have been moved to October 17, 2008 (NYN Website).

Thanks for the confirmation Qwert1515. Strange, I was on the website earlier and there was no mention of Oct 17 that I can recall, just the Sept date. Still nothing but test cards, I guess they are working through some transition issues.

Also, you see occasional educational programming.

Symbol Rate has changed to 20500 but the frequency is still at 12182 H.

My Coolsat 6000 thinks the freq is 12173.

NYN2 - the important one, is currently missing? If NYN2 does not come back I have a dish free to retune myself.

Does anyone recall the name of the folks who were providing the arts component of NYN2? I'd like to write them and ask what other avenues are available to get their programming FTA.

the parameters in the 1st post say 12177 so sounds about right
