I logged in to my account on-line yesterday to program my DVRs (I do it on the web as I have 2 and that allows me to assign the program to either DVR). When I went to the guide I noticed a very appealing, easy to use interface with network/station logos, etc. When I clicked on the record icon to set up a show, the screen flashed and I had to log back in where I got the original, clunky guide that I was accustomed to.

Anyone else see this different guide or know how to get to it? I'm wondering if I may have gotten a brief glimpse of something new D* is getting ready to roll out?

I am a relative newbie to D* so I wouldn't rule out inexperience on my part. :p

I haven't checked it out, but does it report what Series Links have been set?
Probably not, as this would require the web based system to inquire from the DVR.

This would be neat feature if a chart were presented that would ultimately show conflicts.

No, but that would be a great feature! Maybe as more receivers are connected to the Internet there will be more demand and possibly show up in a future upgrade.

Yea, I just noticed this last night myself - I don't use it too often, & a co-worker asked me to prog one of HIS DVR's (yes, I was actually asked to do this - what I don't do for some people  ) while he was at his night job. And yes, it definitely IS an improvement over the older version!

But I've got a question along this line - I swore I saw a post somewhere (either here or on another board) that had a different link to the DVR scheduler, that was intended for mobile apps. BUT, the post also said it can be used by any regular browser, as it was quicker to navigate than the on-line guide. I even tried it, but I think I was at work & did NOT bookmark it, DAMMIT!

Does anyone know about this other scheduler link & post it, please? (I tried searching here & other places, but couldn't find it)

Here's the one that is mentioned above I would imagine:
DIRECTV: My DIRECTV: TV and Pay Per View

Was this the other link you were referring to ?
DVR Scheduler
