New Traxis 3500 / SG2100 Install

Hello All,
My first post. Can someone please explain to me what I’m doing wrong with this installation? The problem am having is that I just received my new Traxis DBS3500 FTA receiver with blind search, the receiver came with SG2100 DiSEpC 1.2 motorized H-H motor and DS2076 ~ 76cm reflector with universal mount dish. I have followed the step by step instruction that came with the equipment with no luck of getting any signal.

What do I do with the following information?

My zip code 20706
Longitude = 76.8551W
Latitude = 38.9675N
Declination = 10 deg 50’ W, however, the instruction says that the reading on the Dish scale should be: 30’-Declination Angle.

What does Azimuth angle have to do with this installation?
Base on this information, which one will be the best satellite to point the dish to in my area?

I would start with finding and storing your true south satellite WITHOUT the motor, I would start with SBS 6 @ 74.0W

Elev. on motor = 51º

Elev. on dish = 24º

Watchout as one side of the motor is marked in LAT. the other ELEV.

I have always set the motor latatude , not the elevation . Was less confusing that way . Is this wrong .

I always worked the hardest to get the dish / motor mounted " straight " as one unit & then getting both pointed due south .

From there I just tweeked for dish elevation . Shucks , my 90cm dish does not even have numbers on the elevation scale .
