New to the forum. Ordered a 73" dlp Mitsubishi 73736) and going to get dish network (for urdu channels). Other than this small TV I have for my kids to watch kids dvds, we don't really watch 'TV'. Its been like this for 5 years, and I have no idea of the current techonolgies, acronyms etc.
I was trying to decide if I should go through the trouble of building an HTPC. I'm a computer guy and would probably love to tinker around with it. etc. Also have to start to research all the AV equipment I may need/want (specifically, receiver, speakers, blue ray player, etc.).
Another thing I have to figure out is if it matters which reseller I order dish network through. Seems like the monthly cost will be the same. All of them advertise free install etc.
Other thing I've wanted to buy is a Wii. So, I"ll probably be looking into that this weekend possibly.
