new to DISH: here is another issue already (search does not work)

Nothing shows up in results when I search for a title, regardless if it's a movie or a newscast. All it says is "searching.....". NO titles at all. Search does not work on the Hopper or the Joey. Does anyone have any info? DISH says it was supposed to have been fixed in the last update but was not. Can anyone else confirm this?

Did you just get installed? If so, when? Also what software version are you on? Press menu twice to find the software version.

version S222 from 11/10. Was just installed on Saturday afternoon at 2:45p.m. central.

I would give it another day and make sure you don't skip the nightly update. I've seen this not work right away because the guide may not be completely full yet.

Have patience. It takes about a day to fill in the guide and get PTAT working.
