New swap card question...

I received my 722 back in December. I just want make sure that the smart card that came with the receiver is the same smart cards E* is sending out to current customers. The card I have now is purple. I changed out the cards in my mothers receivers this past weekend, the new cards were purple as well. Should I expect new cards? Or is E* just trying to get current customers up to par.

Purple is current. The card swap started last Fall and is ongoing.

Your 722 came with a card? I thought that the 722 is new enough that no card is needed (yet). I do *not* have one in my 722, and my recent card swap letter included a card for my older 408 but not for the 722.

It depends when they were made.

Some need cards, others do not.

If you have DNASP241 in system info when you press menu twice, you do not need a new card.

It has been stated here at least a hundred times.

It should be made a BIG RED STICKY.
