New streaming service called PLEX

Here's a new streaming service that supposed to have started today: Media Server | Plex allows you to stream video smarter.

Plex has been around for a while now.

Maybe new to you but it’s been around for 10 years. This is a media server not a streaming service like Netflix or YoutubeTV...

Plex has added a free ad supported streaming section with movies and tv shows from Warner and Lionsgate and maybe a few others.

Seems to work ok. I tried a movie a few minutes ago, it played a 15second ad then started the movie. Plex says they will have a smaller ad load than other AVOD services. I didn’t go far enough to see the ads.

Is the movies uncut with the ads?

Same goes for Closed Captioning too...

I just saw it on the Bing news highlights yesterday and posted it on here. I figured it didn't belong in the cable or sat threads. I'm new to this stuff.
