Has anyone tried a NAS drive with the DVR1100C receiver?
Meritline has a low cost (about $45 shipped) Network Attached Storage drive case that can take any 3.5" Hard disk and includes a USB 2.0 port and a connection to a local area network.
It seems like this would be a great way to make recorded programs available in more places without physically moving drives around.
If I can find some program that directly plays the .TS files without cost, then I think this (or something like it would be worth trying.

LANShare an USB 2.0 and Ethernet combo enclosure, adopts advanced NDAS (Network Direct Attached Storage) technology that exempts the need for complicated TCP/IP settings. Just connect the drive into a local area network (LAN) and install driver into each computer that will share the drive. Not only acts as a portable USB mass storage, also acts as a LAN sharing disk in workgroup.LANShare an USB 2.0 and Ethernet combo enclosure, adopts advanced NDAS (Network Direct Attached Storage) technology that exempts the need for complicated TCP/IP settings.
