PBS HD is now on the following Local Markets:

Chicago WTTW
Detroit WTVS
Los Angeles KCET
Miami WPBT
Minneapolis KTCA
New York WNET
Norfolk WHRO
Phoenix KAET
Portland KOPB
Rochester WXXI

They were added today. Direct did not carry any PBS HD until today. Also add: Portland KOPB and Detroit WTVS

Actually, some of the recent HD LIL turnup did have PBS HD added when they first started, LaCross-Eu Claire WI, Peoria-Bloomington IL and Rockford IL and a few others had them added before today.

Huell Howser in HD, Xmas came early this early this year.

directv press release just emailed states more markets to be added through the remainder of 2008 and early 2009, ahead of the february digital transisition!

I wish it was activated two weeks ago. They had a awesome show on Bald Eagles. It must have been amazing to see in HD. Oh well moving forward this will great with Nature programing.
