I came home with some new old receivers last night from a headend getting decommissioned.
One each of:

GI DSR-410
Motorola DSR-4400
DX DIR-767 (same as DSR4400)
Scientific Atlanta D9224

They all work. Not sure what good the 410 is if I can't update the maps. I'm reading up on that.
I set up the DSR 4400 for FSTV on 91w
My existing DSR 4500x is now set for CSPAN on 131w. I don't think the 4400 or the 767 do analog.
Not sure about a job for the D9224. I understand it will do 8psk DVB 4:2:2, but I don't know of a channel to test. Any suggestions?

If I remember back in the day that Skyvision or the Program Center would only authorize certain DSR410 receivers for the HITS services. I think the days are numbered for anyone wanting to try to sub with it. I had one of those receivers when HITS was on 99W ku band and later remapped it for C band on 105W in the time of 4DTV. Later the battery failed on it rendering it useless.

I'm pretty sure the D9224 is going to be a door stop. If I can get a BDM cable for the 410, that will be a fun project getting maps going on it.
So far, I have a 2 channel headend with analog modulators with CSPAN and FSTV feeding back to my TV. I could do it with on 1 box with the 410.

Thanks - have been finding and following some of those threads. I found a copy of 4Play.exe but the program only has radio buttons for the DSR-9xx series, not the 410. That's what makes this a hobby.

Weird kind of H-H motor failure.
