Hello all I just joined this site & wanted to say hello & ask about what sats can I point at with an old Primestar dish, motor & I will have to come up with an LNB or any suggestions on linear & circular.
thanks in advance.

Why don't you measure the dish diameter or length and width across so we know what you are dealing with. There are also markings molded on the back that may identify the dish. That dish is good for Ku band. There is more stuff on linear polarization. Check out the List (Ku) for what is available.

Some one else may have an idea if you can use a motor with that dish, as it is molded and kind of heavy.

Anything on Lyngsat marked with the F in a white box is potentially viewable. Ku band is in the 11700-12200 range approximately.

I have a couple of them and they are great for fixed dishes. Most reccomendations are to try your hand at setting up a fixed dish on say 123W first to get the hang of aiming, etc before going to a motorized system. Our sponsers have great deals on lightweight dishes for a motorized setup. A LOT of have have also set up Big dishes for C Band and have added Ku. Read everything you can before buying a lot of gear.
