Hello to Every member of this forum,

I have a 36'' Dish with universal LNB (Chaparral) pointed at Intelsat 58W, it use to be part of the SKY Mexico Service which i cancelled a year ago.
suddenly i found this forum and i want to try FTA, I recently connected an Orasat v3 to the dish but i'm not getting any channels is this Normal?

Can I get FTA channels for this satellite?, Will the LNB work for FTA ?
Do I need to modify Some settings on the Orasat to get the channels?

You should be able to pick up two fta channels and a lot of preview channels: SatelliteGuys.US_TheList - 58.0°W Intelsat 9 Ku

Thank you very much for your quick help.

I will try it in a few hours when i get home.

When i do a channel search the orasat doesn't find anything, when the receiver is scanning sometimes the signal strength moves up to 99% but the quality always remain in 1.

Do i have to add the channels manually?

I am not familiar with your specific receiver, but you might have to do a smart search or blind scan to pick up the transponders (you can add them manually if you want to).

With most FTA receivers you need a quality to pick up channels, so unless you are picking a inactive transponder your dish might need to be aligned.
