With all the excitement about the new channels, I was wondering if anybody got their locals in HD from this launch?

I am in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market and I am sure they probably didn't get rolled out, but I won't know until I get home from work.

Hey man,

I am also in the Scranton/Wilkes Berre area and NO we didn't get any new HD locals with the roll out today.

What part are you from?

I live in Union County.

Yeah, I found out sadly when I got home. I called them and had them put in waivers for the New York locals. I should have done that awhile ago.

Anyone know if the new sat (D11) will bring locals to Lubbock, TX, SD or HD? I have an OTA (mounted on the roof) and it's like pulling teeth getting any kind of consistency with my reception. Channels that work on my H20 in the living room don't necessarily come up in the HR20 in the bedroom and vice versa. One day i get NBC great, the next, not so much. It is so hit and miss and it drives me nuts.

Now, I will have D* out tomorrow to remove all the diplexers (5 to be exact) that were put in on my initial Slimline install done in February. This is to address my issues with not being able to receive the new HD channels. D* will be running a dedicated line for my OTA instead of using the diplexer solution. What is the likelihood that my signal strength and/or reception to the receiver improves now that the OTA signal won't be split 4-5 times before it makes it to the receiver? Any chance that this might happen once they connect the OTA with a dedicated cable? If not, does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to improve my reception?
