I have a customer that we installed with a Sony Wega TV. After it was installed we noticed the menu slants down and to the left. You can tell it when you have the guide open. I've put 6 different receivers in and they all do the sam thing. It does this without the cable from the LNB hooked up. I'm stumped. The customer says it was fine on cable. FYI...I've removed all other components from his cabinet and that did not help.

Any thoughts????

Are you using the same inputs as the cable was using? Some sets have settings for individual inputs and if you are using say component with satellite and he was using coax with cable this could be why no problem was seen. I can not see it being the receiver as you have tried multiple ones.

I just got a Sony Wega last night and noticed that you can rotate the screen to your left or to your right. There is an option in the Menu, Setup called "Tilt Correction". It goes from +7 to -7. The KV-30/34HS420 models have the Vertical Correction also. Try that and see if it works.

by what you said it is 100% a tv geometry problem. no many how many recievers you switch out the result will be the same. if what the below doesnt work look up the service codes for it and fix it that way.

I had the same problem with my old 4:3 TV , Then i purchased a 16:9 Toshiba Theater wide and the problem went away. The program guide is even and straight. Whereas the 4:3 had the misformed quide.
