New / HELP!

Newbie From Iowa

Hello everyone. My name is Amy and I'm a newbie to the whole fta. I just received my new pansat 3500 and I have tried everything to get it to work, I have read so many forums that I'm just about to go crazy. I have the pansat 3500 receiver, dtv dish and I have that connected to a motor. I have no idea of what I'm doing. If anyone can give me some help it would be so so GREATLY appriciated. I was trying so hard not to have to ask for help but two days of reading forums and searching for information not found. I'm begging someone. Please Please someone.

A DTV (DirecTV) dish will not get you anything except a few free (unencrypted) channels on the DishNetwork and Bell ExpressVu satellites. For FTA you will need at least a 30" dish with a linear Ku band LNBF...

5- Motor if any: standard right to left motor
