I think the Channel number on the Info page use to be larger, which I thought looked good, but its back to a normal size.
Is that what your referring to ?

Skip that, I forgot, I had to drop back to the NR, so of course things will look different for mine now. ugh
The channel number and fonts are much bigger now on NR 0x114b.

What about having the rumored HS-27 use the DTV Now/Android TV interface? I know some have said why switch to that when people are getting used to the new guide? However, I have read a lot of complaints over at ATT's site about the new guide. What if they did the DTV Now/Android platform on the HS-27 and make it a hybrid SatelliteTV/IP headless server? They could even have the C71K wired version with DTV Now/Android TV. Then that way have the HS-27 hooked up to your gateway and the internet would use the coax to get to the C71K.

What if they bought Comcast and started using X1?

After all the effort over the past year working through (most of) the problems with the new GUI, changing again with the new platform would seem to be pretty stupid. But no one ever accused Directv of being smart when it comes to software/GUI decisions, so I guess we'll see what happens.

got 114b the other day.... it sucks.. the time when skipping a block of commercials is far too small.

What is so hard to understand about the above ?

Topic
30 sec commercial skip

Trouble
the display of the numbers when when skipping a block of commercials

as follows
the 30 sec skip.... 30... 1.. 1:30 ...2 min etc
very small numbers in the middle of the screen.

The problem isn't understanding what they wrote - it's that nothing has changed in regards to what they wrote about so it's not clear exactly what they're talking about. The size of the font and it's positioning hasn't had a drastic change like described.

I noticed the numbers being smaller and moved to the middle of the bar, but I don't really mind it from the way it was ... doesn't matter one way or the other.

When did this happen? Nothing has changed in a long time, since the awful gray/black shroud was removed. Is this poster (not Jimbo) saying they want the shroud back? I don't get it.

When did this happen ... I can't say for sure, I had to bounce back to the NR in the last few weeks and it was smaller and in the middle before I changed back, so I would say it was maybe a month ago or so.
