Bigger screen the worse EVERYTHING will look, I wouldn't think 75" would be all that bad, but when you push it up to say a 100", I'm thinking it won't look so great.
It looks bad ... how ?
Are you saying it looks grainy or just what ?
I mean do they look good on a 65" screen? I can't imagine they are that much better. The guide just looks like trash on my TV and it shouldn't in 2018. I mean come on. You can't add 4MB channel logos? They have to use 256kb pictures lol.

Grainy, pixelated, blurry. My girlfriend can't stand it and she usually doesn't care about this stuff. I literally feel like I went from a HD guide to a SD guide. It's horribly implemented in my opinion.

I agree. This new guide needs a lot of work. Lot of bug fixes as well. I’m guessing we are guinea pigs

That's why I'm so confused. How could they have been testing this and thinking it looks HD? Were they using 24-27" computer monitors? Lol

You would think they would have tested this new guide on 55-65" TVs and notice all these problems we are stating on here and corrected them before they even released it so I guess we are their guinea pigs.

My biggest worry is the AT&T takeover will be the downfall of DirecTV leading the pack.

I suppose Time Warner or Comcast would have been a better choice ? :facepalm
I think ANY company that bought them would be disliked .... nobody likes change in most cases, particularly when they are not told whats gonna happen.

That said, the local cable company already does the gateway type set up, so its nothing more than the rest of the industry is doing.

You think this is bad. You should see the new tivo hydra interface. Talk about small font

All of these complaints are subjective. I think the new guide is just fine. I like it better than the old one.

It's easily readable (even with my 60 year old eyes) on all four of my TVs that range from 39" HD LED to a 65" 4K LED.

I'm not claiming the complaints aren't legit, but if you want to get DTV's attention you're going to need very specific items to complain about. "It sucks" is not a valid complaint.

The guide will display in whatever resolution the program you are watching is in when you pull up the guide.
If you are watching a 480i program the guide will display in 480i, if you are watching a program that is in 1080i the guide will display in 1080i etc.
The guide and menus on my 75" and 65" look perfectly fine.
:eeekI don't allow 480i to be used on my sets!:eeek

24-48 hours
OK, I received the rest of the software 1001 download overnight and now have thumbnails for most shows and some menu items. I believe the guide font is larger for the "channels I get" but as always that is not 100% accurate. I see a bit of lag a couple of layers down in the menu but hopefully will not have to go there often. It also took me a while to get to what used to be the "to do list" and now is just "upcoming recordings" under "manage recordings". I still plan to use titantv.com to decide what to record during the next 24 hours.

I didn't know that about the guide resolution .... ty.
That' probably why I don't notice the issue, my TV is set for 720p and 1080i/p.

So, your seeing what I've been talking about, the guide is fine but the Menus is way different.

I know this. The guide still looks like crap on my C61K. It only uses 720/1080/and 4K. No 480i on that box.

Works really well -when you see an obscure show that you may like say Sunday @ 7pm - hit guide (if your on the same channel as the upcoming show ) press (o) jump to Sunday 7PM & BAM! your their.

If not on the channel -press guide and punch in the channel number and -jump to it.
